<description>I originally purchased a Magic Chef 8-bottle wine cooler for my wife. She loved it for about 14 months (when it no longer cooled). I ended up purchasing an Emerson 8-bottle cooler as a replacement. Unfortunately, after about 5 months, I notice the thermostat wont shut down when reaching the desired temp. Unless unplugged, the cooler runs continuously and gets colder and colder inside. I set the temp to 60, but the cooler will cool below 48. The other day as a temporary fix, I installed a timer between the wall outlet and the coolers power cord. I set the timer to be on 15 minutes, then go off for 30 minutes. So far, the temp (according to an actual thermometer I placed inside the cooler) is staying between 50 and 55 degrees. If I cant find any actual fix online, I guess I&#039;ll try yet another make/model.
